Members of the Shipping Association of T&T’s Executive Council and Secretariat Managment met with Senator the Honourable Satyakama Maharaj, the recently elected Minister of Trade, Industry & Tourism, on Monday 16th June, 2025, to discuss various matters of national importance as they related to the shipping and maritime industry.
The matters included the SATT’s ongoing drive to having the shipping industry regulated, ongoing delays in various shipment-clearing operations, and other current issues. The meeting was constructive with various solutions also being tabled by the SATT’s representatives for consideration in addressing the matters.
The SATT remains poised and ready to work closely with the Minister and his office to collaboratively grow and strengthen the nation’s trade facilitation.
