Ms. Sonja Voisin
President
Ms. Sonja Voisin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the Shipping and maritime Industry. She is currently serving as the Managing Director of Gulf Shipping Limited, where she is responsible for overseeing the company’s operations and ensuring its success. Ms Voisin is a Director of Gulf and Maritime Services Limited and also holds Directorships to various Companies.
Ms. Voisin’s career began as a Product Manager at Johnson’s and Johnson’s Limited, where she played a key role in enhancing brand performance.
During her time at Gulf Shipping Limited, Ms. Voisin held the position of Sales Manager, where she worked to secure new business and develop strong relationships with stakeholders. Her expertise in this area eventually led to her appointment as President of the Shipping Association of Trinidad and Tobago for two terms 2005 and 2018. In addition, she also served as a Commissioner on the Board of Commissioners at the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago.
Ms. Voisin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, she is a Director on the Board at National Flour Mills (NFM) and is member of the Audit Committee. Her areas of expertise include securing and maintaining new business in the shipping and maritime sector, developing strong networks with stakeholders, and managing complex operations. Ms. Voisin is highly regarded in the industry for her professionalism, dedication, and ability to drive results. She remains committed to advancing the cause of global connectivity, Caribbean advancement and leadership in the Shipping and Maritime sector.
Ms. Voisin was recently elected President of the Shipping Association of Trinidad and Tobago in March 2023.
